  • This holiday is celebrated in many countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, Canada, China, Finland, Japan and Belgium.
  • A version of Mother’s Day which began back in the 1600s in England was Mothering Sunday. It was a Christian holiday celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent.
